Alison Cornish volunteering for 4 months
Alison Cornish arrived April 8 for a 4-month stay at the Farm. She first learned about Genesis Farm when founder Miriam MacGillis came to the east end of Long Island more than 20 years ago. Alison remembers Miriam as “speaking passionately about the new cosmology and the crises and opportunities of these precious times.”
Since then, Alison has been a supporter from afar of the Farm’s mission. Meanwhile, she went to seminary, earned an M.Div. degree from Andover Newton Theological School, was ordained to the Unitarian Universalist ministry, and now serves as a parish minister in Bridgehampton, New York. She is spending her first sabbatical with us, deepening her understanding of Earth literacy and the Transition movement, and contributing her hands and time to the Farm's work.
