Traveling to Genesis Farm

Genesis Farm is located in beautiful rural Frelinghuysen Township, NJ. The easiest way to get here is by car. Driving Directions provided by Mapquest.

Public Transportation

There are some modes of public transportation available from New York City or Newark Airport, but they cannot bring you to our doorstep. The nearest bus and train stops are a 25 to 30 minute car ride from Genesis Farm. Once you arrive at the nearest bus or train station, you will need to have a car arranged in advance.

Bus info and schedules :

Martz Trailways : Leaves from Port Authority Bus Terminal, NYC; nearest stop to Genesis Farm is Panther Valley (at the Panther Valley Inn)
Lakeland Bus Line : Also leaves from Port Authority Bus Terminal, NYC; nearest stop to Genesis Farm is Newton (at the Park & Ride)

Train info and schedules:

NJ Transit : Trains depart from either Penn Station in NYC, Penn Station in Newark, or Broad Street Station in Newark. Use the Monclair-Boonton line or the M&E Morristown Line. The nearest stop to Genesis Farm is Hackettstown.

Amtrak: Amtrack trains can link you to Penn Station in NYC. From there, use NJ Transit (above link) to get to Hackettstown, NJ.

Limo/Taxi Services: You cannot hail a taxi at either the station or the bus stops, so it is important to arrange your car in advance. Some potential options are:

Car Rental: There are a variety of car rental companies in our area. One is Enterprise Rent-a-Car, which has offices in our town as well as in towns near to the bus and train stops. Enterprise Rent-A-Car can arrange to pick you up at the bus or train station and transport you back to their office to receive your rental car. The pick-up service is limited, especially on weekends. Please contact the local office directly for this service in advance.

Traveling by Air

Please plan to fly to and from Newark International Airport. Genesis Farm is located approximately 60 miles west of this airport. There are a variety of car rental options at the airport. A limo or taxi service (see numbers above) direct to Genesis Farm is cost effective if you have more than one passenger. Shuttle services are also available from the airport to the Port Authority Bus Terminal or to the train stations in Newark. From there, see above to complete your trip.
