Sunday Brunch at the Farm
with Mary Evelyn Tucker
The Emerging Alliance of Religion and Ecology --- Problems and Promise

Sunday, June 15
Brunch at 12 - $25
Presentation at 1:30 pm - $15

With the growing awareness of the environmental crisis, religions are now poised to move into their ecological phase. From the Pope to the Dalai Lama, religious leaders are beginning to speak out about the moral nature of the crisis. Grassroots projects of religious environmentalism are emerging across the country. Universities are offering courses in religion and ecology, and eco-theologians are helping to reshape their tradition. Please join us for a discussion with Mary Evelyn of this life-generating new alliance, to which Genesis Farm is committed.

With her husband John Grim, she organized and edited for publication a series of ten conferences on World Religions and Ecology at the Center for World Religions at Harvard Divinity School. She is vice-president of the American Teilhard Association and author of numerous books and articles that suggest the vast potential within religions to be a force for Earth’s restoration. She is the author of Worldly Wonder: Religions Enter Their Ecological Phase, and she is editor of Thomas Berry’s most recent book, Evening Thoughts: Reflecting On Earth As Sacred Community. www.forumonreligionandecology.com
